Without the dedication of volunteers, a significant number of social activities would not take place. This is something every volunteer knows, and it is something of which government bodies, businesses and the general public need to be reminded every now and again. Let’s put voluntary work in the spotlight as a compliment to all those people who have spent many years earning it, but at the same time as a means of encouraging others to do their bit too.
